Yes. Medical cannabis has been legal on prescription in the UK since November 2018. It is an unlicensed, prescription-only medicine, which means it can only be prescribed by a doctor on the GMC Specialist Register, and only when the specialist judges it clinically appropriate for the individual patient.

Adults aged 18 or over living in the UK may be considered if they have a diagnosed condition that UK specialists recognise as potentially suitable, and standard treatments have not provided adequate relief. Eligibility is always an individual clinical decision made by a GMC-registered specialist — no website questionnaire can confirm it in advance.

In most cases, yes. UK clinical convention is that specialists consider medical cannabis only after standard licensed treatments have been tried and have not worked, or have caused intolerable side effects. Your clinician will review your treatment history as part of the assessment.

Not without your explicit consent. Flora House does not share your information with your GP, employer or insurer unless you ask us to, or the law requires it. Sharing a treatment summary with your GP can support safe care and is encouraged, but it is always your choice.

Flora House charges consultation and service fees, which are published transparently before you book. Medication costs are separate: they are set by the dispensing pharmacy and quoted to you privately if a prescription is issued. UK advertising rules do not permit us to publish medication prices.

It depends, and you must take care. Driving while impaired by any medicine is always an offence. Patients taking medical cannabis as prescribed have a statutory medical defence to the drug-driving blood-limit offence, but that defence does not apply if you are impaired, and it is typically established after a roadside stop, not at it. Keep your prescription documentation with you and never drive if you feel impaired.

Medication is dispensed by a licensed UK pharmacy and delivered to your door in plain, unbranded packaging. The parcel shows only your name and address — no clinic branding and no reference to its contents.

Yes. Your health data is special category data under UK GDPR and is handled to strict German data-protection standards by Sanvivo, the platform operator behind Flora House. It is shared only with the clinician treating you, the dispensing pharmacy, and the delivery provider (name and address only) — never sold, and never disclosed to your GP, employer or insurer without your explicit consent.

Timings vary with clinician availability and your individual case, so we do not promise fixed timescales. The eligibility check takes a few minutes, and consultations are held online by video. If treatment is prescribed, your medication is dispensed by a licensed pharmacy and sent by tracked delivery.

You speak with a GMC-registered specialist clinician by video. They review your medical history, current medication and previous treatments, discuss your symptoms, and decide whether any treatment is clinically appropriate for you. If it is not, they will tell you plainly and signpost you to suitable alternatives.
